Living in Burnsville, MN

Burnsville (population over 63,000) is located in northern Dakota County, south of Minneapolis and St. Paul, MN. Three public school districts serve Burnsville and many technical, state and private colleges are located nearby in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro area.

Recreational facilities in the city have archery ranges, hiking and biking trails, and skating rinks. In nearby state parks you can fish for walleye, bass and trout, canoe the lakes and rivers and hike, horseback ride or ski on the trails. There are also many golf courses in the area or if you prefer "indoor" activities, spend the day at the Mall of America.

The "metro area" is also home to Minnesota's professional sports teams: the MLB Twins, NFL Vikings, NBA Timberwolves and NHL Wild.
